so the food prep has begun.
i always feel a little bit torn between the holiday food i grew up having(which i LOVE) and the new experimental food side of me. but since most of these things i only make once a year, i go all out for the taste of home and remembered flavors. who cares about brussel sprouts with pancetta and pomegranate if it doesn't usher in a memory?
i'll try that recipe another day.
so green bean casserole it is!
and i can't wait.
so i've made sausage balls and cheese wafer dough.
and i did a test run on homemade cinnamon rolls that i can freeze and then bake one morning.
here's how it went.
i learned a few things.
when the recipe says "cover completely with brown sugar," it means it.
and the center of the roll was really thick and the ends were lacking a little.
gotta improve on that.
up next, broccoli & rice casserole.
and in Austin's words this time of year..."you and your casseroles."
it's a love affair that he just hasn't bought into yet.
still working on that. ;)

Haley you are too precious!!! Love the pic of your finished cinnamon rolls...they looked just delicious! Have fun cooking and we pray you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Blessings and love, Mrs. K
My mouth is watering just reading this post!!! I can't wait to have your "casseroles." Austin is slowly but surely coming around to all of the Huffstetler/Tucker traditions. Just a few short days and we will be there. I can't wait!!!!!
