i haven't seen the sun in weeks.
i spend ZERO time outside and it's getting to me. unless you count my time spent walking from my car to the door in the open-air parking garage as "outside." i think i'll go stand on the balcony later to see what this -3 degrees is all about.
it's funny to me. right now, when i am in the parking garage at school, the only thing i can relate it to is opening a freezer door at brookshire's long enough to get some blue bell ice cream... that blast of cold air hitting you in the face. and each time you know it's coming. and when snow crunches under my boots, i think i'm in colorado snow skiing. must have been the first two times i experienced those sensations. maybe someday when i hear and feel those things, i'll just remember living in chicago and how absolutely fantastic it was and then thank God for his abundant blessings of optometry school and life with Austin in chicago.
til then, i must study. physiology exam awaits me in the morning.
